These systems feature new Intel Atom processors with extreme energy efficiency, and the latest name brand hardware, similar to our standard line of systems. Slim-line systems are designed to perform the simple functions of a traditional computer, such as word processing, internet browsing, and e-mail for an economical price. What do you use your system for?

If your answer includes looking at pictures, watching video, or playing games, you might consider a system powerful enough to handle your level of use with hard drive, graphics, and processor matching your media use.

Is longevity and forward compatibility important to you?

“Net-top” style computers are designed to provide you with access to the internet and resources of today’s computer world. Technology changes fast and is likely to change faster in the future. “Net-tops” are designed with a two to three year lifespan. Their hardware will run much longer, however their speed won’t be able to handle the latest flash applications or online video of the future. On the other hand, the Atom processor uses only 8W maximum power in comparison with a Core 2 Duo at 60 or 90W. This massive power difference will reduce energy costs significantly, as well as issues related to thermal error like dusty environments.
